Helen and Janice have been friends and partners for most of their lives. They first met at the beginning of their careers in the workplace as employees of a Canadian National Bakery Marketing Team. Janice managed the accounts, and Helen handled public relations. They became fast friends and have been in each other’s lives ever since, celebrating the best times and supporting each other in the worst times. When their careers paths separated, it didn’t take them long to realize they needed to take that first step out on their own and align their work lives with their personal lives.

In 1999 they founded the first all-female managed third-party merchandising and marketing company in Canada, Blaze Marketing Solutions. Since then, they have worked with local, national, and international organizations, including non-profits. Working on marketing campaigns, research, packaging, events, and merchandising, they have provided jobs for thousands of people across Canada. Janice and Helen believe Corporate Canada has changed over the last decade and struggle to align their values and goals within its constraints. The previous 20 months have certainly highlighted the best and worst of Canada and continue to be challenging for many people and organizations. The world is calling out for change, and as founders, they dug deep to discover who they are and who they must be as an organization and Canadians. They want to positively impact and assist others to do the same by offering all their experience and resources. They are excited to introduce Simpli Canada (a division of Blaze Marketing Solutions Limited) a Seed To Table marketing initiative.

Simpli Canada will be a safe and mindful community that will cultivate Canadian entrepreneurs and bring 100 million people together to support Canadian products. The community will sell and promote Canadian goods, inspire collaboration, and share resources to make Canadian products accessible to every Canadian and worldwide. Together our community will enable local Canadian companies to compete on the world stage while giving back to Canada and their locality.
